As promised, pictures of the coat…
Dress: Free People. Coat: Vintage find (similar here or do a vest I have a brown version of this to layer over leather jackets). Necklace: Topshop
Lightening struck twice. First this coat and now this.
I love that this one is shorter and all black so is more like a long jacket. It’s actually a re-worked coat. I’ll remove the fur cuffs and move them back down to where they were originally further down the arm (there’s room under the cuff to do it). The previous owner had shortened the sleeves.
I fell in love with the shop that I found it at. It’s tucked away upstate in New Milford NY. I’ll do a Shop Fix feature on it very soon.

Such a gorgeous coat! No real need for them in Florida. I started the great ‘coat elimination’ last year because I was collecting them but finally realized I was never going to get to wear them…
Better to let some vintage loving snowbird put them to good use 🙂

I love the coat. But I live in bloody Brisbane, Australia (I say “bloody” here but really, I love it), where it never, ever gets cold enough to wear a coat. So, inspired by you Karen, I have bought about.. hmm… 4 lace dresses (including a maxi from Free people)…. Thanks again for the awesome inspiration!!!
