Almost White

faux fur coat

The beads are falling off this blouse.  In fact entire rows of beads have gone.

Faux fur jacket: Asos. Similars AsosUnreal Fur and Anna Sui. Top: Zara (old on clearance).  Leather skinnies: Isabel Marant x H&M.  Similars from Elizabeth & James (on sale). Black versions seen before in this older post. Monk shoes: Underground at Trash & Vaudeville. Similars from Asos or Prada (on sale)  Bag: Vintage. Similar from Free People. Shades: Ray-Ban .
Also check images below for more WDUGT options.

I prefer the imperfections.  Especially if it’s something beaded hence why you’ll always see the back of my head in clearance sections of beaded/sequin stuff. I ignore the annoying pulled strings and things literally falling off it.  No one wants that section and the price will be next to nothing.

By the way the jeans are cool and all that but I’m two seconds away from cutting these poxy leather hem ties.  Feels like some sort of Hansel and Gretel costume with double and triple tying them to make them shorter.  I’ll take a pair of scissors to them.
ps. I reckon these coated denim ones from E&J are an option for leather looking skinnies.

pps.  The cream faux and the grey faux one = best buys for winter (especially the past couple of mild days). You can see the cream with leopard here.

I’ve been in a monochromatic mood lately too! It keeps everything simple but gives such a fresh/different look. I think most people are a bit scared to commit to one color from head to toe(unless its black)…but once you pull it off, it’s quite liberating to not depend on the old standby black pieces in the closet!

    • Karen says:

So well said Liz. It’s relatively easy way to have some impact without too much thought. Even if the pieces don’t necessarily match. Within the same family is enough. Yes – black isn’t the only option.

LOVE the whites and nudes! Its one of the trends I focused on in my latest blog post. Love your style, and the specific details/embellishments on pieces featured in this post.
