Her coat is from Japan where she is from. I pulled her out of a consignment in Nolita where I was also nosing around before clocking that coat.
I remember it was freezing that day but the coat with the cobalt wool skirt plus creepers was striking, warm and simple. We both laughed before and after these photos since she spoke little English and me no Japanese. Despite that we both communicated about what she was wearing and where her clothes were from (all Japan so the chat was short).
Afterwards we walked back into the shop and nodded or shook heads at each other every now and then for opinions for things we each held up for consideration.
