A small peak into what’s coming beyond next summer.
I had the rare opportunity to view next year’s Pre Fall collection for Michael Kors in a very intimate gathering at their office. Above are a few pieces from the collection.
Michael Kors himself walked everyone through the thought process behind the luxe Western (and Equestrian) inspired collection, ocasionally standing to demonstrate the functionality of a specific belt or tie e.g. a coat lapel that wraps around the waist and secures behind.
The leather trim, belts and harness details completed day and evening looks. I liked the fur collared coat (picture 8) and the black dress with leather strapping and undulating hemline. Also the leather harness bag over a coat (picture 7). In my head I wanted to walk out the door with those, adding one of the messenger style saddle bags. Plus anything in python.
Clothing aside, this was one on one access into Michael Kors’ thinking and his (very down to earth) personality.
