I bounce between these 5 lipsticks allllll summer. You can get MAC lipsticks online here and NARS here. Here’s mine from left to right (from group shot):
MAC ‘Violetta’
Purple plum. Looks good when it’s worn into the mouth so you get a violet stain. Semi matte finish.
MAC ‘Show Orchid’
This one gets a lot of compliments. It’s a bright fuchsia pink. It’s less bubblegum pink and more fuschia-like vs Nars ‘Schiap (see below). The most wearable pink lipstick I’ve come across. Semi matte finish.
MAC ‘So Chaud‘
Tangerine (that’s wearable) in a tube! I love this and it’s my #1 fave ‘orange mouth.’ This one gets compliments too. Highly pigmented so one swipe is enough. Matte finish.
NARS ‘Schiap‘
I got this one after it was used on me for a Paper mag photo shoot. This is THE brightest chalky bubblegum pink lipstick I’ve come across and the brightest lipstick in the bunch. When I think of a true Barbie Doll pink, I think of this one. Matte finish.
Tip: To get the true colour as it is from the tube, it helps if I put some concealor or foundation on my mouth first then the lipstick.
NARS ‘Heat Wave‘
Gives another good orange mouth. This one has a little more red in it (on me) than MAC So Chaud. Very matte finish.
