I caved on it at a random sale. It was the only one there and I quietly watched a man remove it from his back because it didn’t fit. I laid on the biggest pity face possible: “um, if you don’t think you’ll have that could you let me know?” I swear I heard angels singing when he handed it to me. Since then I’ve been wearing it with knit jumpers, loads of thin layers and the biggest grin.

Something less expected from me: I’m getting more into structured bags. Big reason is being able to carry my camera around without it being on show. I was afraid the bag would be too lady like but I dress casual enough to balance them out. Same goes for anything ‘too fancy’ – throw on the opposite to dress it down. The lack of hardware and simplicity got my attention when it first came out and I still craved it.
