



I got this coat at the start of last year and yes it’s mens. It’s my Linus blanket from Peanuts but with structure.
The contrast orange stitching reminds me of the Isabel Marant David coat that I was lusting after. I also photographed it here on Emmanuelle Alt. I thought about that coat for longer than I’ll admit.
Its the perfect clash for anything girly (case in point with the borrowed-from-your-gran fifties style bag) but spot on with anything boyish (see my Instagram pic wearing it with drop crotch pants). In short, it’s a cocoon for anything.
Be prepared though; unlike most women’s boyfriend coats, mens shoulders do not round off – they’re square so you will look like you are in a bloke’s coat.
Women have been borrowing clothes from the boys for decades because of the not-meant-for-you-fit so why go with a version of when you can get the original?
