Yesterday I attended the Mulberry S/S 2011 collection. Being a UK brand that I’ve literally grown up with, it felt particularly special to see where it is now.
The setting felt like being in a giant English country garden, complete with bunny references and flower displays on walls and floating atop the center swimming pool which the models walked around.
The collection was about the Mulberry girl all grown up in classic lady like shapes and bold colours. The cobalt blue, chalk and raspberry shades really caught my eye and yes, of course the updated Alexa in Bengal Tiger Haircalf?? Um – yes please…
Everyone picked up victoria sponge cake on the way out. A slice of home from an iconic British label – lovely. (side note: I literally inhaled the cake in the cab going back uptown).
*I noticed Alexa Chung eating hers before we were even in the lift to leave!
