Loads drooled over Ann Demeulemeester’s modern take on the lace up boot. I stare at them when (rarely) spotted on a passer by. Last sighting/staring was the cream versions on Erykah Badu performing at New Orleans jazz festival. Not sure that counts, but I was still drooling.
Now sold out and banished to mark up heaven on Ebay, I’d only ever find them on a very lucky consignment shopping day. So I was pleasantly suprised to try on this version by Jeffrey Campbell during today’s lunch hour. Clearly not AD’s, but the soft matte leather, extra long laces to double wrap around the leg and overall slightly S&M feel with the criss cross lacing on exposed skin, I was sold. Apparently they are only sold at LF stores.
Wearing black leggings and an oversized jumper today, I walked out of the store keeping them on. Will post shots with them soon. These will definitely do without paying $800 + (but all those who have the AD’s, I’m still jealous).
