I met up with friends in the Lower East side recently and was in a f**k it mood, ditching the usual ankle boots or trainers for heels. God knows how some women can wear these daily but it’s good for a change.
Jacket: Vintage. Try Free People, I saw this brown or olive one. Also Urban Outfitters. Jeans: Alexander Wang (old). Lookalikes: these from Asos, Urban, 7 for All Mankind, or Rag and Bone. Mens sweatshirt: H&M. Shades: Ray-Ban foldable. Lipstick: MAC Candy Yum Yum.
I wore my mens vintage jacket found at the Brooklyn flea market (best buy ever although I say that for a lot of vintage stuff don’t I) plus mens sweatshirt and jeans from an old Wang sale (bought about 3 years ago). I borrowed the silver Boy from my friend (we swapped for a week) and went for a grey, white and silver feel once the jacket was off.
I haven’t been down the Lower East side for a while and missed it. I could say the same thing about wearing heels but cabbing it there and back cancels out my desire to teeter on pavements too often.
