Thought I’d share a few photos from our trip to New Orleans last week for my friend’s wedding!
We stayed on a quiet street in the French Quarter.

Street musicians hanging out in Jacksons square.

The beautiful wood work from one of countless pretty residential homes.

Me clowning around on Canal Street in an Asos dress and brogues from Kurt Geiger.

I took a photo of a friend’s pancake stuffed with bananas. He smothered it in maple syrup. This was his second dish at the table and by the way he looks like a tooth pick.

The intricate wrought iron work seen everywhere.

This photo to me symbolizes the jazz music culture and life in the city.

Throughout the Quarter at street intersections you see the street names written on tiles on the pavement. My shoes are from a vintage shop in Brooklyn. You can see better photos of them here.

Shared french toast. My first breakfast when we arrived.

One of many balconies in the Quarter.

This is one of my fave shots that I took. As Michael passed him he said to the man: “You are looking sharp!” The man replied: “Every day.”

I bought this lemon coat and black velvet dress at a local vintage shop in the Quarter. I walked out of the shop (The Revival Outpost) wearing them both as soon as they were paid for. Wearing a yellow/tan Rebbeca Minkoff bag was purely coincidental. You can get the bag here in black and white or here in pink. I removed the straps and wore it as a clutch for the wedding.

This is Michael’s fave spot to eat a loaded jacket potato: Port of Call on Esplanade. I took this shot of him offering some of it to my mate Paula. I loved the light coming from the window here.

After lunch we continued down Esplanade. We saw this stunning mansion which had this beautiful dog standing at the top of the stairs outside a large open front door. It just reinforced that this is actually someone’s home.
Lucky sod.
