Random shots of those attending:

These two were a riot
He reminds me of a modern David Bowie
Martin Jerez – I LOVE your style

Brogues were out in force that evening teamed with smart shorts (or cuffed slim trousers)
The friend sandwich
Patricia Field top and great hair cut

I like the added black scarf for layering. Note the studs on the blackberry

Someone flaunting my blog business card

I met Zana from Garbage Dress who’s blog is in my read rotation. She makes cool leather pieces, including this shoulder harness here

LOVE this purple shredded piece and how its layered under a skater skirt. I so want a long shredded piece (even though they are a bit done now).

Leaving the hotel to head out to dinner down town

A couple of nights ago I attended the 2010 collection for fashion designer Sean William Salim held at The Yard of the Soho Grand Hotel.
The models stood on an elevated runway in his mens and womens ready to wear collection in neutral colours of black, white, wheat and red. The pieces were classic and very wearable. There’s nothing like seeing emerging designers. Press coverage in attendance included Refinery29.
Those attending showed that the punk influence remains strong. Plenty of studding and fabric shredding. This contrasted with the dressier trend noted; vintage or modern brogues in various punch colours or in metallic teamed with tailored shorts or slim cuffed trousers.
I ended my birthday night with dinner at Blue Water Grill with the boyfriend.

Sarah K – yea I’m all about the Brogues. I loved them ever since living in London where I’d drool over the ones mens wear and how amazing they looked when broken in.

    Cocorosa – thanks : )

    Anika – yes H&M!!

Caylee – I think I wanted to make my own hence not buying one but neither option materialized. Oh well. Yes, I LOVE how its peaking out under a skirt like that and the colour too is gorge.
