Character Lining

A little flash of a patterned lining is a nice way to try mixing patterns in a subtle way…

Coat: Betsey Johnson (Try one from here on sale). Shirt and leopard trousers: Forever21 (try these or these). Boots: Jeffrey Campbell. Bag: Balenciaga (avail here). Hat: Trash & Vaudeville. Shades: Street vendor. Scarf: (not seen) Love Quotes

Going out recently wearing a white shirt with leopard print pants, lace up boots and a long black coat.   You can’t see it too well here but the wool coat has a cute lining of illustrated characters. You only get a flash of it when walking.  If you have a patterned lined coat, play that up by wearing patterned clothes with it. Same applies to an inside lining in a bright solid colour  e.g pink – wear contrasting solid colour clothes e.g orange.

NEWS:

ps. I just added a search function section to the top left side of the blog.  Readers ask how can they look for a particular type of post e.g only show posts wearing leopard print so this should help.  You can either click on the categories shown or in the search bar just type in the keyword you are looking for e.g. sequins, thrift, vintage, brogues etc.  I tried to cover what you see most throughout the entire blog.

Play around with it a little and let me know if it helps you? Anything missing? Any feedback will help to make it better for you!

Okay, so don’t think I’m a psycho right now, but I recently discovered your blog, and right now I have read back to 2010-2009, and it wasn’t until two years ago(2010, haha!) I saw that YOU HAVE A BOYFRIEND?!
I sort of missunterstood when you wrote “girlfriend” in a few of your posts, and now it was like finding out Santa isn’t real!!
Don’t get me wrong – I don’t have any sort of crush on you except for massive fashioncrush, but still!
Don’t really know why I wrote this, I’ve been drinking so much coffee I’m like a duracellbunny which made this thing world turning… You’re absolutely fab, girlfriend or boyfriend, haha, keep rocking it girl! xx

I’m in love with your shoes! IN LOVEEEEE. After reading this post I went off on an internet search for the Jeffrey Campbell version, or some sort of similar style, but I think I’m a bit too late. You wouldn’t have any idea if the Jeffrey Campbell’s are still available anywhere, would you? If not, no worries, I’ll just have to be quicker next time!

Hi! Love what you did – adding the search bar so your followers can easily track what they want to look for. You are brilliant!! But anyway, I also love your leopard prints. This is what I’m always looking for as I feel more sexier and hotter whenever I wear this kind of stuff… Cool!

such a fan of your blogs, but sometimes i’m a little disheartened by how eurocentric beauty/standard focused it can be.
