Black Summer Chic

Anna is wearing a dress is by Easy Eye (overseas). Her bag is by DKNY.  I loved how effortless she looks in black in the height of summer.  Her dress feels a bit vintage-like too so that drew me to her too.

Getting this Look:

I can see her dress being replicated with separates.  A colour block skirt like this (wear a navy or a loose mint shirt tucked in so it looks like the shirt and skirt are one piece) or this skirt with an existing black t-shirt or tank in your wardrobe.  Worst case just layer a big necklace over a dark dress.  I like the tribal look of this one – a less expected take on colour blocking.

More dresses that use black with colour well:  ASOS shirt dress, Tibi printed shift dress and this ASOS pom trim dress <— I want this one.  Flat sandals like these (on sale) work.   A little white front flap bag like this and this stands out against the big prints.

ps.  Speaking of wearing colour.  Happy July 4th 🙂
