Vintage Meets Rock and Roll

Today I got to check out one bad ass collection at Nine West for their Vintage American Collection inspired by what makes me tick: vintage! 
I met up with the creator of the line, style editor Kate Ciepluch to talk about her road trip which influenced the collection (watch the video!).  We also talked about flea markets, vintage and thrift and knowing that the best pieces are found when you travel.  Which they really are. She walked me through the pieces from the line and I brought in some of my favourite vintage pieces for style ideas (like the leather suede shawl shown above).

pps.  Tomorrow I’ll be with Kate at the opening of the first Nine West Vintage American Collection Store in Soho (577 Broadway). 6pm till 11pm.  Hope to see some of you swing by and say hi and check out the line.  The black shoes are an indication of what’s there!

    Different shoes. I love shoes myself and I usually gasp uncontrollably whenever I see a gorgeous pair of heels and I did with these!

    Always love some great shoes. Shoes are one area of vintage I have a problem with because I have big feet– I’m not one of those lucky little size 7s! Also love how you brought in your shawl… Gotta love those fav pieces 🙂
