Another post wearing two of my favourite things: ankle boots and ditzy tea dresses.
I got the dress a good three years ago. The boots were acquired after visiting Topshop recently. They were sold out in my size (of course they were) so I immediately checked online (while still standing in the shop) and hit ‘add to shopping cart’ when I saw my size was still there. The sight of them in real life was the clincher:Patent leather sole and heel plus suede leather. I wore them with black ankle socks. (I LOVE wearing little ankle socks with open toe sandals too).
That evening the boyfriend and I had dinner at Cipriani downtown on West Broadway where I locked eyes for a second time (for all of an awkward two seconds) with actor Djimon Hounsou sitting with a male companion. First time I saw him was back stage (I got lucky) at New York fashion week in February (there’s me doing that ‘casual’ glance or two like I didn’t see him but clearly he probably knew I was looking). Anyway where the heck am I going with this? If I see him a third time I’m definitely saying something.

i just received those boots today but find them kinda hard to walk in!!! how do you do it?? the soles are pretty slippery and the heel feels like its going to break every time i walk.. any tips?

Ahh, I love tea dresses…they are perfect. And this one complements your skin perfectly. I too am obsessing over the platform heels on the recent topshop shoes…love!
