The Jimmy Choo for H&M (also known as Hennes in Europe) collection hits the stores in just over 1 week. Top video shows fellow Brit Tamara Melon, President and Founder of Jimmy Choo, going through some of the collection. The bottom video shows scenes from the launch party.
I have to say though that I’m starting to find collaborations a bit formulaic now. Having said that, I understand their success and I for one would like to see one or two pieces closer up e.g. the jumpsuit, the studded belt Tamara is wearing, the studded shoe boot (not shown) and possibly that zebra clutch (although a vintage clutch that is not animal print would be more unique and less expected).
Any pieces you would consider?
Jacqueline says:
I like the studded belt too! Good choice.

A lot of is a bit blah for me, mostly because I expected most of the stuff. :/ Which, kind of sucks. I guess the only thing I actually like would have to be that leather dress.
pernille says:
Dunno, I think some of the items looked a bit tacky, cheap maybe? Like the star and the zebra clutch, not so nice.
The leather dress and the jewlery were nice though. All in all, I’m not so impressed.
Velony says:
I also think some of the shoes look a bit tacky and poorly made but just judging from the pics I’ve seen so far.
I like the suede dress, the belt and the bracelet and necklace.
If I didn’t already have a pair of leather leggings I’d probably consider the Choo ones. The price seems to be reasonable too.

I like the caged heels Tamara is wearing but don’t hold out much hope of getting them! x
Tigeren aka Chau says:
I think the collektion is rather nice. The studded belt, the leather dress and the flat shoe with rin stones (not shown) is some of the pieces I difinitely will have a look at on the 13. november, where I am invited to the pre event for jimmy choo.So I difitnitely bring my creditcard with me that evening.

i like the cage heels!
wingit says:
Tamara Mellon is not the founder, Jimmy Choo himself is. 🙂
Karen says:
Its definitely a hit or miss I think for a alot of the pieces although I bet it will sell out in the initial frenzy madness.
Wingit – of course. dahhh. Thx ; ))
shirley valentine – thank you! good luck with your blog.
I JUST remembered I have a vintage stud belt that may have the same effect as the one Tamara is wearing! I’ll have to wear it when I check out the H&M version to do a side by side comparison.
Tom Tuttle from Tacoma says:
what’s formulaic to me is that everyone’s doing bling and studs and animal prints (including the zebra). i guess it’s inevitable since these really sell well and they do look fabulous.
Posh says:
Love the clothing in the collection, the shoes are not my thing! But I think it’s just way too expensive..
Treselle says:
I will take every piece. Wow, I love it.

Oh...dear me says:
I like accessories, leather dress, but can’t imagine getting shoes or clothes tho. Like the new header!
Karen says:
I suppose when it’s all said and done like anything, we’ll see what it looks like when it all comes out.
There’s two H&M’s fairly close to me so I’ll have a look.
Posh – what’s the price points?

we don’t call it hennes
