In a sea of mag editorials on florals, it made a change to see pieces focused on form

I recently went to a couple of industry/blogger events. Both very different but both left me with the exact same thought: empowerment and taking steps to shape your own future.
The first was being invited to preview the Josie Natori Essentials collection. A capsule wardrobe of slinky drapey roll them up when you travel pieces. The viewing was held in the designers apartment, which is jaw dropping (see her two grand pianos above). Coolest part was knowing Josie was the first female Vice President in Wall Street before becoming CEO of a 30 year brand for lingerie, clothing and perfume (ps. Josie is a classically trained pianist too). I left her apartment inspired.
The other event was during NY fashion week, attending the blogger Chictopia party. It’s always cool meeting other bloggers but it made me realize that we are all making up the future as we go along.
Two events. One message: Get inspired and make your own future.
ps. The winner for the Jeffrey Campbell giveaway is Oana from Romania! Thx all for participating. I’ll do another giveaway soon I’m sure ; -)
