Top: My Mum’s. High waist shorts: Thrifted Levis. Shoes: Chuck Taylors (faded in the sun to a lighter baby pink). Finally a change to the grey ones —> here. Bag: Alexander Wang. Shades: Ray Ban. Fedora: Trash and Vaudeville. Necklace: Random NY shop. Silver bead bracelets: Fashionology (gifted)

I’m going to think of Mum every time I wear this top (worn last weekend). She wore it one day in St Lucia while I was there and I asked to take it back to New York with me.
To let in more air for herself, she had slashed the neck wide and cut off the sleeves. It has a hole in too (not seen). Perfect.
On the day I was leaving, I saw her bent over the top with a needle and thread, about to repair the hole on the front. “No leave it!” I said. “Oh.” she replied: “You sure? You want the hole?”
Ahhh – bless.
