my week – 8.7.11

Sorry I’ve been a little MIA.  My parents flew in from St Lucia on Friday so I’ve been disconnecting from the computer while being reminded of what New York is like when seen through a visitors eyes.  Anyway, some random pics taken during last week/this weekend. 
ps. If anyone knows where to find these velvet embroidered boots please tell me! Another one I let go. OMG I found them! Thx all for your help via here and twitter.

Velvet boots (wtf didn’t I ask wdugt).  View from the bar at the Mandarin Hotel.  Restocking at Fish Eddys.  Cool DIY.  Getting attention in Times Square (I won’t say what I was doing).  Search & Destroy toy. More WDUGT. Another big hair fan.  Perfect bike chic.

    But…being a tourist in your own town can be cool. I’m glad you’re enjoying time away from the computer and spending time with your family. If we could all just disconnect every once in awhile…sigh.
