Topshop Spring Summer 2012 Preview

The Unique collection:  Inspired by the Egyptian Cleopatra

Aztec Tribal collection: in bold prints and shots of neon.  The print on this blue top is stunning. I’d wear this as is with knee length gladiator sandals.  The green/yellow skirt behind it is made from neoprene for structure (a fabric used for scuba diving).
The Festival Fairy Tale London girl:  Transparent tops and maxi net dresses with embroidered trim plus tailored structures in the same pastel coloured palette. The collection includes nylon sports wear parkas in white and neon (not shown).  I personally have my eye on that ombre jacket and trouser to wear as a suit.
South Pacific collection:  Hawaiian meets baroque prints across pleated or structured skirts, shirts and trousers.  Add to plainer pieces or wear together as a clashing mix.  I’d wear that pleated skirt with one of the buttoned up shirts to the far left  (just seen).  Anchor with a solid belt and shoes brogues.
Here are teaser shots from the preview I attended on Thursday for Topshop’s SS 12 collection.
I was only allowed to publish 4 pictures and focused on the colours, patterns and shapes that evoked instant ‘I’d so wear that’ reactions. 
The above starts appearing in Topshop (US and UK) from end of January and will roll out through Spring.
