Backstage – Theyskens Theory Fall 2012

Fresh hair with a (hidden) twist for a cool collection…

I watched as Odile Gilbert for Kerastase took the weight out of models’ hair by adding canerows to the back. The rest of the hair was then laid over the rows to cover.  The result was a lightweight version of straight hair with an as equally light make up to finish.   This was a relatively simple look with intricate work hidden underneath.

Imagine how many shows that we watch with no idea of the work that often goes into the apparently simplest of hair looks.

ps.  Love pic #5 of Olivier Theyksens.

What’s a canerow?? U mean CORNROWS? Girl, u r so out of touch with anything black… Sad.

    • Karen says:

In England I always pronounced it and wrote it as canerow. That was how it is said. NOT CORNROW to me.

I am fully aware of the term cornrow. Geez
