Outside of a good Doc Marten or creeper, Saint Laurent’s recent grunge ressurection has made sure I can’t let 2 hours go by without seeing a ‘punk-inspired’ boot online or in a magazine. Case in point: the ankle boot with oversized chain across the front from Givenchy.
It’s simple and conjures up spidery tights, ditsey dresses or the skinniest strategically ripped jeans.
I’ve noticed the preference for splurge or save tends to reflect the income of the person that I ask.
Assuming cash was not an issue which do you think?

hmmm… the Givenchy looks more “polished,” literally. I don’t care for the matte finish on the KG.

hmmmmm……if i were to choose……i like the shape of the kurt geiger boots but also love how the chain goes from end to end on the givenchy one. i looked at the sandro version, very nice but the cut out is too balenciaga looking. if you don’t mind the cut out, then i would choose between sandro and givenchy…..gold or silver……….oh too difficult to decide…..
