I have this same coat from Zara and wear it over plain knits and skinnies. Try a black on black print or a floral bomber (see below for layering ideas).
The Bomber
Try classic green like above (comes in black too) although I do like this marine blue colour too. Don’t forget to check out mens bombers. Here’s one of mine which is mens.
