Vintage Finds in Brooklyn

(Requires sound)

Well it took me flipping long enough but I’ll stop bleating.  My latest video this time visiting three vintage shops with Tess in Brooklyn.

I shot the video when it was still cool in New York hence the coats!

I’m terrible at thrifting but you’ve given me hope! The prada heels and the a-line skirt you guys found at the first store are to die for. The red stained dress at the second shop looks like it’s an Indian salwar/ anarkali (minus the pants) so you could totally head over to Jackson Heights or any of the other little enclaves of Indian stores and find some more options there 🙂

I really enjoyed the video but I was trying to listen to it quietly and I had to keep turning it up and down because the music was much louder than the chatting. Is it possible to adjust the levels in future? After all, what you are saying is more relevant than the music 🙂

I will bear that in mind for the next one!!

Hi Karen, I have to say that i love your blog because of the vintage…I love vintage, is more exciting for me to buy second hand than new clothes. Because we can find better things. You find the way to combine good vintage with new and that’s your own style. That’s the reason I follow you always….sorry about my english, an argentine living in Spain…;-)

Mariel I’m glad that you are a vintage lover as much as I am. Yes you do find better things and it’s usually more affordable and just better made. I feel like so much that is new is inspired by the past. I really appreciate the kind words!
