Vacation or Spring Mode

As promised here is a round up from most of what I wore with similars to each when Michael and I were in St. Lucia staying with family. Believe it or not spring looks and vacation dress ideas will start have started hitting your inboxes (the current winter clearance is your clue) so maybe this’ll be some shopping inspiration. For those booked to be away somewhere hot for a few days, then I hope this post helps give you some ideas.

Dress is Topshop from last summer. The plunge front requires tit tape if you don’t want to flash anyone. Other than that it’s a good ‘is that vintage?’ moment. I suspect they’ll release something similar next season but until then below are a few dupes that give off a similar look.

Dress is Topshop from last summer paired with a Cleobella bag that’s now out in a beaded version. The plunge front requires tit tape if you don’t want to flash anyone. This Rhode Resort is one of my favorites from them because it’s an easy fling and go number that shows off the shoulders while the rest is covered. It comes in a zillion colors and patterns. The cobalt blue in it is incredible although I’m partial to cobalt. I reckon this dress is a good day to night, holiday to city piece.

Outside of dresses, this leopard print silk skirt was an easy packer. Roll it up in your suit case and you’re done. I wear it with basic t-shirts or in this case, a cropped puff sleeve blouse from &OtherStories from last year. I linked to some similar pieces below since you could split them apart and wear with lots in your wardrobe e.g crop top with high waist denim??

Ok so first off, this is a belted dress in the same cut as the one further down in this post but I really like the way it looks without one. The material is heavy which gives it a massive swing when walking. Plus let’s face it, the belt serves as a reminder of food babies post meals anyway which neither of us need. Side note: the stars all over it had me in this for New Years night too.

YouTube and Instagram watchers already know about this skirt and how I feel about daisies. It sort of started from last summer when I stumbled across a fantastic daisy print shirt captured in this video from a thrift shop which I then went on to wear repeatedly on Instagram. I’ll call this skirt the inevitable follow up. Yes, I will probably wear both together but for now the Boden blouse satisfied my print clashing urge. Plus this makes a change from wearing a typical vacation dress.

Ok don’t laugh but this hat was love at first sight even though ironically you can’t see shite while wearing it. Picked up from the local St. Lucian market (which you have to visit, more on that in an upcoming YouTube St. Lucia guide!!), it’s ridiculously Jacquemus vibe big but that’s why I love it. Below are a few for anyone after the ultimate solution for no make up days or for a complete sun block solution.

Believe it or not this vacation dress is the same cut as the black all over star version above just done in cotton and with a rainbow colored skirt. Warning: it’s a bit on the short swingy side so wear cycling shorts underneath to disappoint any onlookers after a gust of wind. This one too comes in tons of beautiful colours and patterns which is helpful (or not) for the indecisive.

You can catch more of what I wore in St. Lucia on my Instagram @Karenbrtichick and also on my St.Lucia vlog coming to YouTube channel hopefully next week?
