All Saints maxi dress
***
1. Topshop polo neck jumper. Layer a sleeveless maxi dress over a skinny jumper. Tip: Make sure the armholes are high and the neck is tall for a clean look. Alternatively wear an oversized jumper on top and turn the dress into a maxi skirt. The colour of this one would work perfectly with charcoal.
***
2. Warehouse cardigan. Layer a chunky knit cardi on top. I picked a similar hue to keep the look cohesive. A wide sleeve balances out the long skinny black jumper sleeves (or go with a long sleeved cardi to double up the arm warmth).
***
3. Elisanero ankle boots. Add boots with just enough lift to take the dress off the ground. Wear flat boots instead if the dress stops around your ankles.
***
4. Devoe beanie. A staple for both sexes. I live in them right now (when it’s not a fedora)
***
5. Oak fingerless gloves. Keeps you warm while rummaging in your bag all day.
***
6. Rebecca Minkoff drawstring bag. The dress is long and lean so go with a long strap to continue that relaxed feel. A wine, emerald or deep purple bag would also work here and is a change from the usual black. Finish with wool tights and/or a neck scarf.

If anyone has any ‘how to wear’ questions, let me know in the comments or on Facebook where I found this one. I’m no ‘fashion industry expert’ but I’ll definitely take a stab at it.

Just one more thing, if this applies to you, how do you overcome the winter blues? I am just tired of going outside and being cold all of the time.
Freya@AMileOfStyle says:
The maxi is gorgeous, I’d probably wear it with the Warehouse cardi, the Elisanero boots and the Rebecca Minkoff bag.
Even if your not some expert, you did a hell of a good job!! 🙂

I wanted to try doing it this winter but I’m just scared I’ll be freezing. Maybe when spring rolls around I’ll make an attempt in a soft palette with a military flare. Idea’s been brewing in my mind forever!

I’ve thought about wearing that Foley & Corinna dress I got from your shop so many times during the cold season. Pair it up with some thick tights, a cropped cardigan and ankle booties and I’d be good to go!
Since I started a blog not too long ago, maybe that will be my incentive for a post 🙂
