Fashion Week Disasters

How many of you have had a fashion outfit disaster?  Outfits that you’ve worn and thought: “wtf was I thinking?” or “why did I wear that?”

This happens to everyone and it happens a lot during fashion week when we over think what to wear – myself included.

Since it’s right around the corner, Christina from Profreshstyle made this video with myself as her guest. It’s us featuring a couple of our “WTF was I thinking” moments.  Christina has made some of the funniest youtube vids so I was honored to be a guest on this one.  Note: The smurf voices are one of her editing signatures and I still can’t stop cracking up at how we sound.   Follow her here: blog/youtube/twitter

    I actually like to see bloggers and random people during FW put on a quirky mix, makes it less boring IMO. Anybody with a little change can rock designer head to toe, snooze. Why not mix it up with DIY, vintage, designer, thrift, etc. Sometimes editing it down though goes a long way to a signature look.
    Cracking up at the curtain accessories though.

    I did stupid outfits for my blog, but intentionally to see if anyone would say “girl, don’t mix those two things up”…funnily people commented how great it was: fashion-‘honesty’

    thank you so much, this made me laugh and tear up: “Graduation day from Kenya high” “Shakira shakira”. You should consider doing another video together! My WTF moment was way back in high school wearing a mint colored vest with white buttons, a black poodle-style skirt, white socks and white keds! Just the thought of it makes me cringe!

    You absolutely should wear that burgundy Moroccan-looking fringe from the carpet shop as a necklace/collar! I love the color, one of my faves, and it has great movement. It totally embodies the changing of seasons and I know you’re bold enough to completely pull it off. Shakira? No. Jasmin’s fashion savvy cousin? Yes!

    I agree with Alexa! I think that the fringy/tassel burgundy-thingy (whatever that is 🙂 looks great as a necklace /collar, but ONLY if you wear it with a simple outfit, like on that tank you had on the video and a pair of skinny black jeans! =)))
