Pin Up Queens

new york vintage shops

I literally stumbled upon another vintage hole in the wall gem recently (literally a few weeks ago)….

Look at that Charlie Brown sequin number far right.  I should have tried it on…

This floral grey 40’s dress was instant love. V-front and long cap sleeves

vintage store

The owner Jessica is really laid back and has great personal style.

I know, that silver bangle dead center…

My friend Christina tried on these gorge clips on earrings which she also noticed can be hung from the top of the ear lobe too.

Tried on this peach 1950’s style dress.

There’s a large selection of hand bags sitting above all the clothes.

The owner Jessica showed us this buckle piece after we wasn’t too sure at first what it was.

Striking headpiece.  I’d buy this just to have on display like this.

A rail of delicate white camisoles and slip dresses…

Stunning evening bag. Would look gorge on a day when you only want to carry your money and keys.

vintage earrings

More stunning clip on earrings. I instagrammed these from the shop.

You remember the suede skirt from this carnival post.  Best little skirt I think I’ve found and every Autumn I’d been looking for a suede A-line cut vintage skirt in my size.
I’ve driven past this place for ages but it was only when I left the car at home and was walking around that I accidentally found it.
It’s a shoe box side vintage gem full of dresses, tops, jewelry, shoes and bags. Very shabby chic/boudoir inside with a huge sky light in the ceiling so the place is filled with natural light.
I swear there must be tons of unheard of spots like this everywhere.  Let’s see how many of them I find.

Pin Up Queens is on 22-03 Astoria Blvd. Nearest subway stop: N train to Astoria Blvd.  I’d expect to see a place like this in Manhattan but I love that it’s not  #goodpricing
