To avoid them looking too done, Elaine picked them out and made the curls look more random.

So I went back to the Sassoon hair salon recently with a summer look in mind. I wanted something with an edge though – not girly.
After a few minutes talking about the best summer looks on short hair, we agreed on curls. I had the sides and back of my hair relaxed (it needed a touch up) by Valencia their Color Director. This was followed by a deep condition (where I almost fell asleep). Afterwards Elaine cut the sides short and curled the top so it was sort of undone.
It’s the first time I’ve tried a curly look on my short hair but you know it’s not my last. Plus it’s about time short hair girls represent for summer hair styles. Check out my Instagram – clearly I’m still into this.
