I have a love/hate relationship with pencil skirts. I hate the restriction but the curves, the below the knee length, the high waist. You know what I mean. The change makes them worth saying f*@k it to get out of shorts and old denim sometimes.
Kids leather jacket: Trash & Vaudeville. Try All Saints or Asos. Skirt: Zara (clearance). Try NastyGal or Asos. Shoes: Steve Madden. Bralette: Urban Outfitters. Try this and this from Topshop. Bag: Chanel. Try Rebecca Minkoff. Wishbone necklace: Jennifer Zeuner. Crucifix necklace: Gift from Mum
I wore this pencil skirt with an old crop summer bra top in denim blue and my old jacket from the children’s section of Trash & Vaudeville.
If you are after a cropped leather jacket, check out kids jackets. They are perfectly made, a quarter of the price and your limbs will break in that bad boy (excuse the pun) in no time. I wore this one around the house until it broke in. Get past the initial stiffness and it’s worth it.
ps. If you watched Mad Men, Joan rocks a pencil skirt like no one’s business.

A fantastic combination…..In NY and London you can be dressed like this and don’t feel self-concsious. In Vienna I sometimes really feel a bit odd to dress the way I’d like to.

I felt odd dressing for my 9-5 job before I blogged full time. I was even made fun of behind my back by co workers but I didn’t care because it was who I was and I loved it plus I hated how they dressed so to me it made sense. I say where what you want as long as you feel comfortable of course.

Sinead says:
Gorgeous! I love pencil skirts, but I can’t wear them because they make my backside look too big. But on you, they’re perfect.
Karen says:
oh trust me I have a curved butt in this skirt! Maybe I’ll post that image to Facebook or Twitter!
