Next Tuesday Michael and I head to New Orleans jazz festival (again)…
Heels: Kurt Geiger ‘Samantha’ aka sex pot meets mad men meets bondage
We’ve been to New Orleans jazz festival before but this time it’s a road trip. This’ll be interesting.
I’ll keep you updated throughout but at the very end of the festival and trip I’ll do a wrap up post of what I’ve seen on Kurt Geiger’s blog everythingbutthedress.com
The heel fetish is due to stopping last week by the British brand’s store on 375 Bleecker in the west village to pick shoes for the trip/festival. The nude heels are for nights out to go with anything I’m packing!
Speaking of shopping, if anyone has some recommendations on places to see/eat/shop at along the way (especially vintage and thrift) please let me know? We’re driving through Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington DC, Richmond, Knoxville and possibly Charlotte – some when heading out, some when heading back to New York.
Thanks lovelies for any recommendations. I’ll let you know which we stop at.

If you head into NC, stop in Asheville and skip Charlotte. Asheville has some super fun thrift shops, amazing restaurants, and it’s surrounded by the Appalachian mountains (gorgeouuus). Totally worth it!

Hi Karen, When you are stopping in Richmond VA you should stop in Halcyon Vintage. The owner is very sweet and the stuff there is very nice! Tell them Thandi and Nina sent you lol! And if you have more time stop in Carytown in downtown Richmond there are 2 really cool street vendors that have really cool metal cuffs and stop in the Vintage store called Bygones for some really authentic vintage jewelry and beautiful pieces. hope you are not disappointed Love!! Safe travels!!

Hi Karen – when you go through DC, stop by Mustard Seed, it’s a great consignment and vintage shop, it’s technically in Bethesda, MD but it’s right outside of the city and you could pass through on your way to/from Baltimore. Or check out Eastern Market, it’s DC’s oldest fresh food public market. In addition to food, they rows of local artists that have handcrafted jewelry and it’s also near the H Street Corridor – an up and coming area in DC right now….enjoy the road trip and I second Nikell have a beignet for all of us!
