I think the next form of addiction has arrived – 1 hour free shipping. I’ll rewind to how it happened with me for this graphic piece…
That’s me at the Kate Spade Saturday 24-hour shoppable window using their touch screen to order the patterned jumpsuit and sandals. Granted I can’t touch the clothes since it’s shopping from the window but I liked being able to see them in real life versus only online.
I picked out what I wanted, checked out on my phone and received an email and text order confirming my order would be coming my way in an hour based on an address I supplied. I was headed to lunch afterwards and thought why not have the items delivered to me there?
Fast forward by 1 hour (actually less):
I had lunch in the area and the messenger delivered the order to the restaurant…
and done: said jumpsuit and sandals.
Jumpsuit and sandals: Kate Spade Saturday. Sunglasses: Ray Ban. Lipstick: MAC Lady Danger
One of my biggest peeves with online shopping is not being able to see clothes in real life first and get them instantly but that sort of makes sense since it’s online. So I thought….
I haven’t ordered from Kate Spade Saturday before but know the brand and was curious enough to see their solution. I’ve eyed their black and white jumpsuit and sandals before so saw this as a chance to see them in real life in their shoppable window first before ordering on their 24-hour screen.
After placing the order I had lunch in the area and the Kate Spade Saturday messenger delivered my order to the restaurant. It could’ve been delivered during the week, but being I live in Queens it made sense to deliver to where I’d be that afternoon in the city.
As someone who shops online I hope this concept continues.
Check out my pinterest board inspired by other fave pieces from the online brand.

I think the 1 hour delivery is what really got me. Can you imagine if that becomes the norm? we’ll be annoyed by ever having to wait days for anything…?!

I am also a frequent shopper online. I spend an insane amount of money on clothing. However, lately I have been using this app called Mavatar and it offers me amazing deals on various clothing items that I purchase, so I save money. I highly recommend this app for you because you seem to like to online shop too! You can download it at http://www.mavatar.com

Ugh! So jealous of the dressing freedom of NYC! Down here in South Florida people are so cookie cutter. I think it’s time I step outside my box and bring some flavor to the Sunshine state.
Karen says:
Oh crap! you need to come up to NY!
Soul Pretty says:
OMG…Karen, you are killing that.
