10 Cool Backless loafers

Gucci Princetown loafers

Before I speech, click the photo to see 10 alternative loafer slides I found…

Back to the above:  Knowing my gravitational pull to men’s styles (hello), I brooded over these Gucci Princetown leather slippers from afar.  Months passed and I did not cave.  Until spring started.  I committed the cardinal sin of trying them on didn’t I (plus trying on the metallics – oh God are they good) “just to see.”

That was my mistake.

From then the search for a pair in my size was on (they run one size small for anyone considering).  Eventually these were in my grubby hands.

Following a request from a brilliant Instagram follower yesterday, I pulled ten backless loafer alternatives to bum around in all Spring, Summer and Autumn.

I never thought that backless loafers can be cool… but these Dolce Vita kinda are! 🙂

Yea I like the masculine vibe of those

That’s exactly what they have, yes! Cool masculine vibe!

I want those so bad!! But weirdly, I want the printed ones, especially the Princeton floral. It looks like a Grandma’s slipper and I’m kind of digging it. I like that it’s semi-affordable (which is a weird thing for me to say, as $600 for loafers aren’t really affordable but they’re not at Saint Laurent or Stella McCartney prices, which hello, I’d love those creepers but can never afford them #runonsentence). So totally debating these and they’re perfect for you!

No I know exactly what you mean!! I too thought ok the price isn’t AS HIGH as a lot of designer shoes which tend to tip over 1,000 so I felt it was a rare ‘treat’ sort of. Saint Laurent pricing is a joke but it works for that certain customer! I love the patterned Gucci’s too. I say at least try them on but at that point you’ll probably be obsessed to the point of caving.
